Sustainable Schools programme
Sustainable Schools (Department of Children, Families and Learning) is a national framework that introduces eight “doorways” through which schools may choose to initiate or extend their sustainable school activities. The Sustainable Schools area of Teachernet is designed to support schools on their journey to sustainability, introducing the principles of sustainable development and offering guidance on how to embed these principles into the heart of school life. The site provides useful information for all sectors of the school community, including the leadership team, teachers and parents plus offering a number of excellent online and downloadable tools.
