Sources of biodiversity information
for farmers and landowners
Contact the Tees Valley Biodiversity Partnership for information on how to conserve priority habitats and species. The partnership has a Rural Action Group that concentrates on farming and rural habitats. The Tees Valley Farmland Bird Survey is being co-ordinated by the group to provide monitoring of birds in farm environments. In 2008 volunteers are surveying over 21 farms throughout the Tees Valley. It provides environmental management expertise, so that even while food is being produced in the UK, our countryside and the native wildlife as we know it, can still be improved and protected for our future generations to enjoy.
